Bru Mohan - In case you live in the north part of town
and haven't seen the current CityBeat review, since July there is a second entirely
vegetarian Indian restaurant in Cincinnati (in addition to Amma's Kitchen on
Reading Road in Roselawn, although probably not offering a Vegan Wednesday as
does Amma's). It's Bru Mohan, further out Reading Road in Sharonville. Prices
are comparable to other inexpensive Indian restaurants around town ($3-4 appetizers,
$7-10 entrees) and they're open to 10 PM Tuesday - Friday, 9:30 PM Saturday
and Sunday (closed Monday). What sets Bru Mohan apart from the two dozen-plus
other Indian Restaurants in town is deserts; the restaurant started as an Indian
sweets shop before serving full meals. You'll find desserts here you may never
have had before (like petha, a pumpkin dish, or gaajar burfi, made of glazed
carrots and pistachio nuts).
